Welcome to Created to Reflect

“The joy of the Lord is my strength.”

“He gives living water so that I will thirst no more.”

“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”

Welcome. I am so grateful you are here.

For some time now, the Lord has placed a prayer on my heart. I have found myself praying for people who hunger and thirst for righteousness. People who long for more than success, accomplishment, or comfort. People who desire to know God deeply and walk closely with Him.

This website was born out of that prayer.

Many of you know about my devotional, Reflecting God’s Glory: A 50-Day Journey, but you may not know how it came to be.

To be honest, I was intimidated by the idea of publishing a book. God had given me a message and I had written it down, but I kept delaying the process of turning it into something others could hold in their hands.

Then, in His perfect timing, God moved.

Through my aunt, I received an invitation to speak at a women’s conference in Ridgecrest, California. After accepting the invitation, I asked the Lord what He wanted me to teach.

His answer was simple:

“Teach what you have already written.”

When I shared that with my daughter Sharon, she looked at me and said, “Then why don’t you finish your book?”

I sent her my manuscript. For the next two weeks she worked tirelessly, designing, formatting, and helping prepare it for publication. By the grace of God, the book was completed just before the conference.

When I arrived in Ridgecrest, I encountered something that deeply encouraged my heart: a genuine hunger for God’s Word.

As I taught, I paused after about forty minutes and asked if I needed to wrap up. Instead, the women responded, “No, please keep going.”

My heart overflowed.

In a culture filled with distractions and short attention spans, it was beautiful to witness women longing to hear more of God’s truth.

The Lord blessed far beyond anything I expected. Every book we brought sold out. Additional copies were ordered. I was invited to speak again. Most importantly, women responded to God’s Word.

My first session focused on our identity as those created to reflect God’s glory. My second session explored leaving a legacy that reflects His glory for generations to come. What made the weekend especially meaningful was having three generations of my own family present as a testimony to God’s faithfulness.

At the close of the conference, I gave an invitation for women to respond to the Lord. My daughter sat at the piano and sang “I Speak Jesus” while women prayed, surrendered burdens, renewed commitments, and realigned their hearts with God.

As I reflected afterward, the Lord brought me to Isaiah 43:19:

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the desert.”

How fitting that these words came to mind while thinking of Ridgecrest, a small desert town where God brought streams of encouragement and spiritual refreshment.

I stand in awe of the Lord and His ways.

One lesson I continue to learn is that life with Jesus is never dull. I seem to live between awe and surrender. He continually amazes me, and He continually calls me to yield more of myself to Him.

That is the heartbeat behind this website.

My prayer is that this space will encourage you to behold the glory of God in His Word, in everyday life, in suffering, in joy, and in the ordinary moments where He often reveals Himself most clearly.

May we hunger and thirst for righteousness.

May we drink deeply from the living water Christ provides.

And may we increasingly reflect His glory to the world around us.

Thank you for being here.

To God be the glory.
